Dr. Mirjana Zivanov provides a deep exploration of the essence of Crotalus horridus, revealing its shift between “Imprisoned in Freedom” and “Free in Imprisonment,” while also addressing ameliorations, aggravations, and the remedies that complement, follow, or precede it.

Before we begin, it is very important to emphasize that my articles in this journal are interconnected, creating a flowing narrative where one emerges from the other. In the previous issue, my article on the remedy Magnesium muriaticum was published. This precedes my description of Crotalus horridus. The two remedies are closely linked, and what is particularly intriguing is the symbolic connection between them.

Our symbol for Magnesium muriaticum is the woodcutter, while Crotalus horridus is known as the timber rattlesnake (Timber Snake). The name itself evokes the image of cutting wood — when a tree is felled, the cry “Timber!” is heard. This connection between the woodcutter and the timber rattlesnake beautifully illustrates the continuity and deeper relationships within these remedies.

This is my remedy portrait of the Crotalus horridus.

We will begin the story of Crotalus horridus with the myth of Prometheus, which faithfully reflects this remedy in the world of symbols and archetypes.

The Myth of Prometheus

The myth of Prometheus offers profound insight into the emotional and symbolic landscape of this remedy.

In Greek mythology, Prometheus was a Titan known for his intelligence and foresight, whose name means "forethought." He was a benefactor of humanity and is best remembered for his courageous act of defying Zeus, the king of the gods.

Prometheus, seeing the plight of early humans, who lived in ignorance and darkness, decided to bring them fire from Mount Olympus. Fire was a divine gift that enabled humans to cook, stay warm, craft tools, and build civilizations. However, fire had been withheld from humanity by Zeus, who feared their empowerment and potential rebellion. Despite this, Prometheus stole the sacred flame, hiding it in a hollow fennel stalk, and delivered it to mankind.

This act of defiance enraged Zeus. He saw it as an affront to his authority and a dangerous gift that might elevate humans closer to the gods. As punishment, Zeus devised a cruel and eternal torment for Prometheus. He ordered the Titan to be bound to a rocky peak in the Caucasus Mountains. Each day, an eagle, a symbol of Zeus' power, would fly down and tear out Prometheus' liver, devouring it. Being immortal, Prometheus' liver would regenerate overnight, ensuring that his suffering was unending.

Prometheus' punishment lasted for many ages, during which he became a symbol of enduring resistance against tyranny and a champion of human advancement. Despite his suffering, he never regretted his decision to aid humanity. In some versions of the myth, Prometheus was eventually freed by the hero Heracles (Hercules), a son of Zeus. Heracles, on one of his many labors, shot the eagle with an arrow and broke Prometheus' chains, earning the Titan his long-awaited release.

Prometheus fights for justice at all costs and never regrets it because his spirit is free, even though Zeus imprisoned him on a rock at the peak of the Caucasus and condemned him to eternal torment.

The person in the state of the Crotalus horridus remedy finds themselves in a highly challenging situation. On one side, they feel IMPRISONED and strive desperately to be FREE. However, upon reaching the peak of FREEDOM, they experience intense fear, pulling them back into the need to feel IMPRISONED. Thus, they constantly shift between the states of IMPRISONMENT and FREEDOM, unable to find resolution in either.

Note: The Matrix Method is based on the concept of individual Codes of a person, central to life and development of that person. The Matrix method helps us recognize this Code and prescribe the Simillimum, that has the same Code as that person. In the Matrix Method the Code is the very essence of the remedy.

The Codes of the remedies used in the Matrix method were discovered by Dr. Mirjana Zivanov, using the Matrix proving. Over a decade, her team rigorously tested these findings in their daily homeopathic regimen. Consequently, Dr. Zivanov has invested a significant portion of her career—ten years out of two decades—focusing on the research and refinement of the Matrix method.

The Code of the remedy Crotalus horridus is

IMPRISONED – FREE.

Due to their nature, the individual often appears contradictory, as when they reach the peak of their sense of freedom, they abruptly start changing their behavior. Overcome by fear, they begin to say completely opposite things.

This is particularly pronounced in relationships. The partner simply doesn’t know how to behave. On one hand, they avoid frequent meetings and encounters, as this triggers a sense of IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h), but on the other hand, they suddenly change their mind and warmly invite the partner for socializing. Such behavior CONFUSES (Lotus) the partner, making them feel unwanted because they absolutely don’t know what to expect. When in a phase of fear and need for IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h), the individual becomes very affectionate, gentle, attentive, ready for interaction, and willing to adapt.

They struggle to build a happy relationship with a partner, leading to frequent divorces.

“I had to get a divorce; I couldn’t take it anymore. I felt IMPRISONED (Crot-h) in it. I started dating her, and even married her, out of pity. Her brother died, and he was my friend. I felt some kind of obligation not to leave her, as if I were her SAVIOR (Stram) in the whole situation. That’s how I felt at the time, but now, after two children, I can’t do it anymore! I need my sense of FREEDOM (Crot-h) and the ability to go where I want.”

In the phase of FREEDOM (Crot-h), the person becomes uncompromising (Crot-h), acting based on how they feel at the moment. They can end an emotional relationship or a friendship, if they feel forced to go against their own values.

Most often, they don’t have many friends, as they enjoy solitude and rest. During such times, they like to read, meditate, or do something relaxing.

Alternatively, they might surround themselves with many acquaintances, often taking on a leadership role. One example is a patient of ours who owns a bar. He can even get into a fight if necessary, which makes many people fear (Crot-h, Mag-m) him.

Beauty (Crot-h) is very important to them. The partner must be attractive, well-proportioned, smart, witty, and cheerful. This is what they need.

Their room and living space also need to be beautiful, clean, and adorned with various details but without being cluttered. The details are often tied to something they love—for instance, Japanese tea, favorite basketball player…

Their favorite animal is the cat, which they claim has no equal.

They dress well, pay attention to manners, and appear very refined, but everything seems spontaneous, not at all pretentious.

In principle, they love peace, plenty of rest, and strive to avoid disturbances. They have strong opinions and passionately defend their views. They fight for truth and justice.

They cannot stand false authority and are willing to sacrifice everything to preserve their sense of FREEDOM (Crot-h), as well as their integrity!

For instance, one of our patients, who was finishing medical school, was offered a job in a hospital through familial ties, but declined it because they wanted to prove themselves independently (Crot-h). The very idea horrified them, as it would make them feel IMPRISONED (Crot-h), like they were in a trap (Crot-h), owing a favor for the opportunity. They must preserve their FREEDOM (Crot-h) at all costs, even if it means losing an easier path or leading to uncertainty (Crot-h). For them, uncertainty provides hope and a sense of having options (Crot-h), as lacking choices makes them feel IMPRISONED (Crot-h).

“I must always have multiple possibilities (Crot-h), multiple options (Crot-h), as it gives me a sense of FREEDOM (Crot-h)!”

“I only feel good when I have options (Crot-h) and can choose (Crot-h) things myself.”

The moment they feel LOST (Gala), when something planned unexpectedly falls apart…

“I was completely prepared for the exam, but it got postponed because the professor got sick, and suddenly, my whole CONCEPT (Arn) fell apart (Crot-h, Carc) within a week. I spent an entire week in limbo!”

“I don’t know how to FIGURE IT OUT (Gala) in sudden situations. I freeze (Mag-m); I don’t know what to do when there’s an abrupt change of plans. I GET LOST (Gala). Fear starts creeping in… At that moment, I appreciate the presence of a partner or a friend to guide me (Arum), to show me the way.”

Here, we see how an unexpected, unplanned situation, the state of the remedy Galanthus nivalis, with the Code LOST – FIGURED OUT, shifts them from the first opposite of their code, FREE (Crot-h), to the second opposite, IMPRISONED (Crot-h). In such moments, they enjoy the company of others and become softer.

“For instance, we went to fast food, and normally, it would be typical for me to wait outside while the food is being prepared, but I noticed a FREE (Crot-h) spot inside where I could sit. It felt normal for me to enter and sit while waiting for the food. Before your remedy, I would never have done that!”

Dr: “Did the smells bother you?”

Patient: “That, and also the thought of taking someone’s spot if the food was just for takeout… But now I realize, why should I care? It suits me to sit.”

Here, we see how the patient used to think before receiving the remedy. They would FREE UP (Crot-h) the space for others, avoiding the idea of EMPRISONING (Crot-h) someone without a seat.

Dr: “You’ve FREED (Crot-h) yourself in this regard to just sit!” Matrix potentization

Patient: “Yes, yes, earlier, I wouldn’t have even thought I could do something like that.”

There is also an idea of suffocation, which isn’t surprising considering this is a snake remedy.

“In that entire setting, no one was there anymore, and suddenly, I find myself on some large lounge chair, like a bed. Out of nowhere, a man appears next to me, asking who I support [in sports]! Then he starts smothering (Crot-h) me, like he was strangling (Crot-h) the life out of me, lets me go (Crot-h), and I run away (Crot-h) from the lounge chair.”

This is another example of how they perceive things and how their Code influences their thoughts…

Dr: “It’s good for her to have a regular salary… Which, in a way, is true. I still depend on how many clients come, I don’t have a vacation without worrying, and I don’t get paid if I don’t work. I can’t travel as much as they can, so I can’t really say it’s easy to work outside of the public sector. And especially for a woman—there’s maternity leave, time away from work… I can’t say my life is easy or that everyone should live this way. Especially if they don’t have a special passion for something, like I do. If someone just wants to live, let’s say, an ordinary life, then that’s great. You have a regular salary, you’re protected, and you can’t lose your job.”

Patient: “But, in essence, you’re a slave (Crot-h)!”

Dr: “You don’t have your FREEDOM (Crot-h)! I can choose not to work when I don’t want to.”

Patient: “And no one gives you directives (Crot-h) about anything!”

Dr: “You have complete FREEDOM (Crot-h)! But you don’t have the security of a steady paycheck.”

The patient then recounts being offered a job after finishing college:

Patient: “Well, yes, but at the end of the conversation, it was he who felt smothered (Crot-h), not me! I was totally honest with him as someone I respect, about how I think and feel. And it didn’t fit his vision. He started listening to how I think, and he was shocked (Arum). He was like: ‘Listen, the best thing in life for me is that you have friends, so that if something happens to you or to them, they call you, and you call them!’ And I was just like, ‘Can I be completely FREE (Crot-h), to have direct relationships with people without owing anyone, and no one owing me anything?’”

Dr: “So they don’t IMPRISON (Crot-h) you!” Matrix potentization

Matrix potentization is a technique in which the homeopath repeats the Code or Keyword of the remedy that the patient just invoked, in order to increase the patient’s emotional charge on that word or expression

Patient: “Yes! And he replied: ‘Well, I don’t understand, I can’t grasp that! You’re more like a German…’ And I just said: ‘Exactly, I’ve always felt like a foreigner here! Always! Since I was a child! That’s it, so thank you (Lotus)!’”

Dr: “Everyone means well and loves you, but they see things differently…”

Patient: “I think I’d get sick if someone had power over me! (Crot-h)

Their mood tends to oscillate significantly…

“Generally, I’ve noticed that since your remedy, my mood swings during the day have been less intense. I’ve had more energy, but not the fake (Crot-h) kind that caffeine gives you. It’s like it’s coming from within! More strength! I don’t know how else to describe it.”

Patient: “Yes, and after drinking coffee, I didn’t feel good. It was literally like drinking coffee for the first time in my life—overstimulated and with those tactile sensations in my palms. What I found remarkable was that, from the moment you gave me the homeopathic remedy, I no longer experienced withdrawal symptoms from not having coffee.”

Dr: “When we give the right remedy, people stop drinking coffee because they don’t need it anymore.”

Patient: “It’s absolutely unbelievable (Crot-h). Before, if I missed just one cup of coffee, it was a disaster!”

They can be very gentle, with good manners, easily winning the hearts of girls and women… This was evident when his girlfriend entered the office to bring him his phone charger because his phone had died. He was reading his notes about the effects of the remedy on his phone.

His girlfriend arrived, and he plugged in his phone to charge. She hugged him and asked when he’d finish because they had plans to go out. He was gentle with her, kissed her as she entered, and thanked her for bringing the charger. We could see that he was in a phase where he appreciated the state of IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h).

Another example of when they passionately invoke one of the opposites of their CodeFREEDOM (Crot-h)

Patient: “Yes, yes, here it’s like that’s normal! But in Germany, I was amazed! I felt FREE (Crot-h), relaxed (Nat-m). I could walk into a park and it was completely CLEAR (Lotus) to me that I could lay down on the grass (Crot-h)! I could jump around (Crot-h), scream (Crot-h), go exercise (Crot-h), or join someone playing basketball (Crot-h)! Everyone was nice (Crot-h)! No incidents (Crot-h)! Everything was clean (Crot-h)! That’s fundamental to me.”

Similarly, they project their Code onto others. This means the Code doesn’t just influence the person whose Simillimum it is but also affects their environment.

After receiving their SimillimumCrotalus horridus, the patient said:

“Because I need to set BOUNDARIES (Spiritual Quality Crot-h) for everyone and let them know and start focusing on the things that matter.”

“Giving everyone just a little, but when it all adds up, it’s a significant part of the day!”

Dr: “And then you lose focus (Crot-h). Because, by the time you refocus… Time’s gone (Crot-h) … I understand, you have to isolate yourself.”

Notice here how the patient says: “Time’s gone (Crot-h)”, as he is acutely aware of time passing - flowing, while in Arum maculatum time stands still.

Patient: “And someone always has some question or wants to talk about something…”

Dr: “That’s why I had to isolate myself completely. I argued with everyone, and then they said I was strange! Leave me alone so I can study!”

Patient: “Exactly! People, you have NO BOUNDARIES (Spiritual Quality Crot-h)!”

“And then, that day, I was the first student at the exam with a professor who is rigid, very limited (Crot-h), not exactly intellectual - just someone who has those letters before their name and thinks they’re big (Ferr-p) deal.”

Here, we can see how he perceives it as an injustice that such a “limited (Crot-h), not exactly intellectual” person was elevated to a rank of a university professor.

They can engage in various professions, ranging from medicine and surgery to selling clothing or running a hotel or bar.

Female patient: “I sell women’s clothing, and after your remedy, my business started booming—I can barely keep up!”

It’s fascinating how, after the Crotalus horridus remedy, her clothing business flourished. As we know, there are sayings that draw a connection between snakes and clothing: 'The snake changes its coat' and 'The snake slips out of its old outfit.'

They can also react physically (Crot-h) and get into fights if someone is being bullied. They will first warn the person (Crot-h), but if they don’t stop, they’ll use force.

“At school, someone was bullying a friend. I told him to stop, but when he didn’t, I fought (Crot-h) him. Everyone supported me because he was annoying all of us…”

Even a female Crotalus horridus patient said:

“I train kickboxing. I was an excellent student—all A’s, but I always had one bad grade in behavior. I told my friend to stop, but she didn’t listen. I told her again, and still nothing. So, I hit (Crot-h) her. But that’s how I’ve always reacted—I solve things physically (Crot-h). I never hit men, only women, when they annoyed me.”

From these examples, we see that they always warn first, but if someone doesn’t back down, they attack (Crot-h). This is also a characteristic of the Crotalus horridus snake itself, which first rattles as a warning…

They spend a large part of their time tense and in fear, seeing the solution to such situations as fleeing (Crot-h, Arg-n).

Patient: “At that point, I respect (Crot-h) them, but then I realize—I shouldn’t respect (Crot-h) them. They haven’t earned it in any way, and honestly, I just WANT (Pall) to run away (Crot-h)!”

Dr: “How did you feel at the end of the dream, when you wanted to run away?”

Patient: “Well, kind of IMPRISONED (Crot-h) and dissatisfied (Phos-ac) with myself because I didn’t immediately leave (Crot-h, Arum, Mag-m) in line with my feelings. I mean, why should I respect them? They’re completely… And yet, I’m just sitting there… I don’t know…”

Dr: “IMPRISONED (Crot-h)!” Matrix potentization

Patient: “Yes, and I’m giving them my time, which they haven’t earned!”

Dr: “And what’s the opposite of IMPRISONED (Crot-h)?” Matrix fishing

Matrix fishing is a technique in which the homeopath invokes one of the opposites from the Code of the remedy, which he or she suspects could be the patient’s Simillimum – Soul remedy, or Karmic – situational remedy. Then, the homeopath observes the patient’s reaction to see if the patient has ‘taken the bait.

Patient: “FREE! (Crot-h)”

Dr: “And when did you feel like you didn’t have ‘BOUNDARIES’? (Spiritual Quality Crot-h) Did you feel that way at any other time?”

Patient: “Yes! Whatever I started working on, I DIDN’T FEEL THE BOUNDARY (Spiritual Quality Crot-h). For example, I took a book off the shelf after reading yours, and then I picked up another book from my mom’s shelf about homeopathy.”

Dr: “Did you read the cases in my book?”

Patient: “I read a few cases.”

Dr: “It’s probably difficult at the beginning—you might need a bit of help.”

Patient: “Yes, I’m not yet at the level where I can fully understand everything.”

Dr: “I can help you if you’d like.”

Patient: “Thank you (Lotus) INFINITELY (Spiritual Quality Crot-h)! A teacher appears when the student is ready. You gave me the book, the best possible approach for me.”

Dr: “It was spontaneous!”

Patient: “Yes, I read that book so effortlessly (Nat-m), even though you were worried because it’s in English. It was no problem for me. Before, my mom tried taking me to her friends who were homeopaths, but I couldn’t click with just anyone.”

Dr: “Yes, the connection has to be right.”

Patient: “Now, I trust (Crot-h) you completely. With other people, I just can’t click—I can’t understand them.”

Dr: “Everything had to align, and now it has.”

Patient: “I started pulling books off the shelf—one after another—with NO BOUNDARIES (Spiritual Quality Crot-h). I simultaneously searched through the chapters, pulling (Crot-h) only the ones that interested me. I extracted (Crot-h, Ars) the specific information I needed to understand (Crot-h) homeopathy as a concept. Then I started using artificial intelligence to extract (Crot-h) NEW (Cann-i) information (Crot-h, Ars), tailored to what interests me specifically (Crot-h). Until recently, I was completely closed to this. It seemed dangerous (Crot-h), who knows what it is? I started with some history, explored dilutions and potencies—X, C—and now, everything is completely CLEAR (Lotus). Before, it seemed imaginary.”

Dr: “Now you’ve opened up to everything!”

Patient: “And it’s extremely fascinating—extremely!”

Themes of the Remedy

Theme of Contradiction or Reversal

Contradiction is a central theme for Crotalus horridus, similarly to the remedy Ignatia amara. The Opposites in the remedy’s Code cause rapid shifts back and forth, often making them appear contradictory. Initially, they feel the strong need for FREEDOM (Crot-h), but when fear arises, they shift to the opposite—a need to be guided (Arum), but at the end they feel IMPRISONED (Crot-h).

This dynamic can manifest to others as contradictory behaviors or thoughts.

For example:

Patient (says to his girlfriend): “I don’t want to meet up—it’s fine with me. But at the same time, I’d really like you to come.”

The environment can also exacerbate these feelings.

Patient: “In Germany, I feel completely FREE (Crot-h). I can go into a park, lay down on the grass (Crot-h), jump around (Crot-h), scream (Crot-h), exercise (Crot-h), or join a basketball game (Crot-h). Everyone is nice (Crot-h). There are no incidents (Crot-h). Everything is clean (Crot-h). That’s fundamental to me. But here, everything is completely the other way around (Crot-h)!”

Their sense of freedom is tied to external order and cleanliness, which allows them to feel safe and uninhibited. Conversely, a chaotic or restrictive environment triggers their need to escape or withdraw.

Theme of Sensitivity

They are extremely sensitive. They notice everything; nothing escapes them. As a result, they are very intelligent (Crot-h) and sharp-minded (Crot-h).

Their sensitivity to noise and sounds is exceptionally high, similar to remedies such as Theridion, Morphinum, Argentum nitricum, and Arum maculatum.

Their heightened sensitivity means they notice even the smallest details, making them both insightful and intellectually agile (Crot-h).

However, this sensitivity can also make them vulnerable to sensory overload, especially when it comes to noise or chaotic environments.

Patient: “I was in the reading room, trying to isolate myself from the students and the noise (Crot-h). It’s easier and more creative for me to come up with ideas for how to escape (Crot-h) from all of that.”

“…then I went (Crot-h, Mag-m, Arum) to a completely different side of the building hoping it will be better there, but it was even worse - the sounds from the installations were entirely abnormal (Crot-h). The windows faced a bus stop (Crot-h), students were talking (Crot-h) there, hanging out (Crot-h, Arum) …”

Such environments challenge their sensitivity and create tension, driving their need for solitude and control over their surroundings.

Theme of Fear

When fear arises, it becomes so intense that they feel completely LOST (Gala), not knowing what to do next.

At such moments, they appreciate the company and support of a friend to help them FIGURE IT OUT (Gala) in an unplanned situation. This moves them into a state of the remedy Galanthus nivalis with the code: LOST – FIGURED OUT.

Patient: “Where is my remedy most commonly found?”

Dr: “It appears in various professions connected to your remedy. From doctors and surgeons to hotel and bar owners, even prostitution… Because anything is possible. We have a friend who matches your remedy—he didn’t study, runs a bar, and everyone is afraid of him…”

Patient: “He has FIGURED IT OUT (Gala)!”

We can see how the patient instantly recognizes the situation and, with relief, says: “He has FIGURED IT OUT (Gala)!” At that moment, the emotional charge drops as they release the tension around the subject.

Their breaking point occurs when intense fear arises. Will they FIGURE IT OUT (Gala) or feel LOST (Gala)? If they FIGURE IT OUT (Gala), they move toward the opposite in the Code of their remedy: FREEDOM (Crot-h). If they feel LOST (Gala), they move toward the other opposite in their CodeIMPRISONED (Crot-h). During moments of intense fear, they are in the middle of the seesaw.

Patient: “When fear takes over, I feel completely LOST (Gala). I don’t know what to do, where to go, or how to handle it. I need someone to guide me (Arum), to help me find my way.”

The intense fear they experience is fear of the unknown. The patient is expecting a court hearing (Crot-h), so he says:

Patient: “I felt fear before the hearing (Crot-h), fear of the unknown (Crot-h), fear of messing up while giving a statement (Crot-h). When we entered, I felt relief (Nat-m), completely RELAXED (Nux-v) and CALM (Caust, Mag, Arg-n, Cupr).”

Dr: “Describe your fear of the unknown—what does it look like?”

Patient: “So, here’s how it feels. I feel a great sense of responsibility (Crot-h), and in that moment, fear (Crot-h) arises. First, I don’t even know where I’m going or what will happen, how I’ll handle it. On the other hand, the legal terminology is completely unfamiliar to me. What should I say (Crot-h, Arum, Mag-m), and how much should I say, since I usually use medical terminology.”

Dr: “Yes, we’re not taught what to say, what not to say, or what consequences come from it…”

Patient: “Exactly!”

Dr: “So it’s a fear of the unknown (Crot-h), essentially?” Matrix potentization

Patient: “Yes, that’s where the fear (Crot-h) stems from.”

Dr: “And how does fear (Crot-h) affect you?”

Patient: “Somehow, fear (Crot-h) shuts me down (Crot-h), dims my light (Crot-h), and I retreat into myself (Nat-m).”

Dr: “And your bowels—how are they affected?”

Patient: “Yes, at that time, I had diarrhea from fear (Crot-h)!”

Theme of Emotionality

They are highly emotional, to the extent that they avoid situations altogether.

“I didn’t get emotionally involved (Crot-h)!”

“…but I didn’t waste energy, nor did I get involved (Crot-h) in anything!”

Patient: “I try to disconnect (Nat-m), but it’s overwhelming. I can’t fully detach. It’s like I’m carrying this weight, and I can’t see a way out until the situation resolves itself.”

If they get emotionally involved (Crot-h) they are overwhelmed, can’t find the way out until the situation resolves itself, so they will do their best to avoid such situations altogether.

Theme of Truth, Justice, and Punishment

The theme of truth is one of the most significant for them. They are willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of truth.

Patient: “That day, the professors for this exam term were announced. And every time they announce the professors, I allow myself to hope that, somewhere, the assignments will be fair (Crot-h, Mag-m). A million times, I’ve realized it isn’t—it’s rigged (Crot-h, Mag-m). Yet, every time, I find a new HOPE (Naja) for the next term. Then I felt disgust (Crot-h, Hep, Hyos, Manc), frustration (Crot-h), and ANGER (Mag-m, Crot-h, Arum) about it.”

“I have my truth (Crot-h)!”

“That’s all lies (Crot-h)—and I can’t have a POSITIVE (Bry) perception of it.”

“I really felt PLEASENT (Thuj) on the lectures of that professor. I believe she’s principled (Crot-h), which is why some people avoid her…”

They are deeply hurt by injustice.

Patient: “This just happened (Crot-h): “A train (Crot-h) was arriving. I was at the station, early by half an hour. People from Novi Sad were getting off the train. The sign said: ‘Do not board!’ They weren’t allowing anyone to board until about ten minutes before the train would leave. At that moment, I realized that some people had secretly gotten on, sat down (Crot-h, Mag-m), and secured their seats. And now, I DON’T LIKE (Phos-ac) that. I wasn’t even COLD (Nat-m) standing outside—it wasn’t a problem or anything. Suddenly, a woman working there, who makes coffee and seems to regulate things, came out to smoke. The doors were open, so I went inside—why not, since others were already on board. Some women entered with me, and she threw them out. She came after me (Crot-h) too and said, ‘You can’t go in!’

I asked, ‘Excuse me, why not?’ She said, ‘You’re not allowed to board!’ I replied, ‘But why not? What about all the people already on board (Lotus)? When did they get on?’ She said, ‘You’re not allowed!’ I responded, ‘Fine, may I ask you a question? Can I get an answer? How do you explain this situation? Why are you kicking me out and not them?’ And she just said something like, ‘Oh, come on, you know how it is. So I said, ‘Fine, I’ll wait outside. I don’t mind waiting five minutes.’”

Dr: “Injustice! (Crot-h)” Matrix fishing

Patient: “Complete injustice! (Crot-h) I politely asked her a question in front of everyone, and she couldn’t answer. She looked ridiculous…”

Their strong sense of justice makes them willing to fight for what they believe is right, whether in personal relationships or broader societal contexts. However, this same drive can lead to feelings of frustration and emotional exhaustion when they encounter dishonesty or corruption.

Patient: “I’ve always been willing to stand up for what’s right, even if it means confronting others or walking away. But I’ve also learned to conserve my energy for the battles that truly matter.”

Their unwavering commitment to truth and fairness often puts them in situations where they feel compelled to act or speak out, even when it may cause tension with others. They are not afraid to challenge authority or confront injustice, and this strong sense of principle is central to their personality.

Patient: “If something doesn’t feel right, I can’t just let it go. It’s like I have to address it, even if it costs me emotionally (Crot-h).”

Dr: “Do you feel it’s worth the emotional toll?”

Patient: “Yes, because when I don’t speak up, it feels like I’m betraying myself. The relief comes when I know I’ve done what’s right.”

Their focus on fairness is not just external; they hold themselves to the same high standards, striving for integrity in their own actions.

Their intolerance for injustice often leads to confrontations, but they handle such situations with a strong sense of integrity.

Patient: “If something isn’t fair, I can’t let it go. It eats at me (Crot-h). I’ll ask questions, challenge the situation, and demand explanations. Even if I don’t get the answer I want, at least I know I tried.”

Dr: “Does standing up for yourself bring relief?”

Patient: “Yes, because I feel like I’ve done my part to restore balance.”

Their sense of justice also drives them to support others who are being treated unfairly, reinforcing their role as advocates for truth.

The theme of punishment (Crot-h) arises after the truth is somehow betrayed.

Patient: “When I was at that exam with that professor, I thought about all the worst forms of torture I’d seen in movies (Crot-h, Morph, Formica rufa, Caust) - what would be the most appropriate punishment for him. It had to be as excruciating as possible and last as long as possible (Crot-h, Morph). That’s what was running through my head. There’s that Chinese torture method (Crot-h, Morph), where you’re placed in a 30-by-30 room, and at the same frequency, drop by drop, water falls from above… It’s the most agonizing (Crot-h, Morph) method in the world. That seemed like the perfect punishment (Crot-h, Formica rufa, Caust). He’s supposed to be my professor, yet he was absent, drowsy, drunk, or high—completely inconsistent with any standards! (Crot-h, Formica rufa, Morph)”

Theme of the Court

The strong sensitivity to injustice and sense of justice, often brings Crotalus horridus patients into courtrooms, either as plaintiffs or defendants. They will file a lawsuit if they believe someone’s actions were inappropriate.

Patient: “He decided to sue (Crot-h, Merc) me! And now, in two weeks, I have to go to court (Crot-h) to give a statement because he claims I owe him a few thousand euros. But that motorbike isn’t worth that much, nor is the damage…”

Theme of Traffic Accidents

“A friend of mine was driving us and I was constantly nervous (Crot-h) about him crashing (Crot-h, Stram). I was tense and afraid (Crot-h) the whole time, and I had a similar experience when he drove his car. The car was in terrible condition—literally 50 years old. I was non-stop (Ars) on edge and terrified (Crot-h).”

Our patient, a Crotalus horridus, has a history of incidents related to traffic.

Patient: “I once fell off my motorbike…”

Dr: “What happened?”

Patient: “It was rainy, and I was rushing. The wheels slid, and I went down. I remember feeling completely IMPRISONED (Crot-h) under the weight of the bike, but at the same time, I was relieved no one was hurt.”

Another example involves a Crotalus horridus patient who wrecked three cars before the age of 18. His impulsivity and thrill-seeking nature (Crot-h, Stram) led to frequent risky behavior on the road.

A case of a female Crotalus horridus patient is different:

Her car was stolen, and the loss brought her a sense of IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h), not because of the vehicle itself but due to the violation of her personal space. She described feeling as if her FREEDOM (Crot-h) had been taken away, leaving her emotionally paralyzed.

My Story of Rescuing a Kitten

Regarding traffic accidents, I’ll share something that happened to me while writing this article…

“That Saturday, after finishing consultations with patients, I continued working on this article. During a break, I decided to go to the bank of Danube river for a walk. I left home in my car and drove down my street as usual. In the next street, I heard a faint sound, like a meow. The radio was on, so I thought the sound might be part of the song playing. It seemed suspicious, so I turned off the radio. The faint sound continued. I thought, ‘Could it be a kitten under the hood?’

I stopped immediately by the roadside, as there was nowhere to park. I opened the hood and found a small black-and-white kitten curled up near the engine.

I called friends for help (Lotus). It was impossible to catch the kitten, so we called a tow service. But while waiting, the kitten moved down (Mag-m) from the engine to the axle near the wheel. No matter how we tried to approach it, it kept escaping out of fear. Eventually, we canceled the tow service since the kitten was no longer in the hood.

I realized this was the kitten of Sharenitza, a stray cat from our yard. A friend fetched (Crot-h, Mag-m) her in hopes that the kitten would come out upon seeing its mother. However, in his haste, the leash wasn’t secured properly, and when I took Sharenitza, she slipped out, panicked, and hid under parked cars…

I suddenly had two problems instead of one! Sharenitza, scared and on unfamiliar ground, started running further away, and I chased after her. When she almost disappeared into a yard where I wouldn’t have been able to follow her, I decided to literally throw myself on her. Every attempt to approach her gently had failed—she would just wiggle free. So, I dove and grabbed her!

Since she was a semi-feral outdoor cat, I had to hold her tightly as I ran back to the car. She struggled fiercely, trying to scratch and escape, as she wasn’t used to being held. Somehow, during all of this, I broke a nail on my little finger, but I managed to get her into the car.

Then, we still had to solve the initial problem and catch the kitten. After two hours of effort, my friend finally managed to grab the kitten by its tail and pull it out.

We returned home safely and released both Sharenitza and her black-and-white kitten into the yard.

What’s fascinating is how such a, in some ways, morbid event happened while I was writing this article. The kitten was IMPRISONED (Crot-h) in the car’s bodywork, and we ultimately FREED (Crot-h) it, saving it from certain death.

Even more interesting, we also IMPRISONED (Crot-h) Sharenitza when we put her on a leash, only for her to break free and FREE (Crot-h) herself again. Then I caught her and put her in the car, effectively IMPRISONING (Crot-h) her once more. Finally, both she and the kitten were FREED (Crot-h) and released into the yard to run in the INFINITY (Spiritual Quality Crot-h).

Even we, standing by the roadside, felt IMPRISONED (Crot-h), unable to drive away (Mag-m, Crot-h), unable to catch the kitten, yet unable to leave the car by the road overnight, hoping the kitten would eventually come out. On top of that, the kitten had nowhere to go, as this wasn’t its familiar territory.

It was the first COLD (Nat-m) night of the autumn, and animals were starting to seek WARM (Nat-m) places to hide. We know that COLD – WARM is the Code for the remedy Natrium muriaticum, and it is also the Pre-Code for Crotalus horridus.

Here, we can clearly see how the polarities from the Code of Crotalus horridus swung us back and forth, like a pendulum, from a state of total IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h) to a state of ultimate FREEDOM (Crot-h).

We also felt the strong influence of both Pre-Codes. Alongside Natrium muriaticum, with its Code: COLD – WARM, the smell of death brought in the second Pre-Code, Mancinella, with its Code: DISGUSTING – BEAUTIFUL.

Had the kitten run into the road, where cars were passing by, it could have been run over before our eyes, which would have been truly DISGUSTING (Manc).

Additionally, we felt HORRIBLE (Stram) during those two hours, enduring exhaust fumes, noise, and dust on the roadside, where cars were constantly passing. And we know that Stramonium is one of the remedies that follows the remedy Crotalus horridus. The Code of Stramonium is HORIBBLE – RESCUE.

Thank God, we managed to RESCUE (Stram) the kitten!

Incidentally, Sharenitza’s Simillimum is Magnesium muriaticum. Despite everything, her presence brought a sense of balance (Mag-m), grounding (Mag-m), and stability (Mag-m). Watching us from the car, she energetically increased our patience (Mag-m) and persistence (Mag-m), helping us persevere (Mag-m) in rescuing the kitten!

Theme of Cleanliness

Cleanliness, elegance, and orderliness are deeply ingrained in their nature. Their surroundings reflect their inner need for balance, and any deviation from this triggers discomfort.

They are extremely meticulous and prefer their living spaces to be clean and tidy. As their Pre-Code includes Arsenicum album, any situation where things are not perfectly in order causes them discomfort and aversion. They are quick to praise a beautiful space and admire it if it impresses them. Their clothes are always clean and well-ironed. For example, their towel for the pool is neatly folded, and they place it on the lounge chair gracefully and carefully. Entering the pool is also done with style.

Patient: “When we were walking around the city… I’m extremely bothered by anything dirty in public spaces (Crot-h, Ars, Hyos, Carc).”

Patient: “I strive to keep my space, like yours here… Clean and UNBURDENED (Ars) with lots of stuff. That’s why I’m fascinated by your space!”.

Patient: “I can’t stand dirty public spaces (Crot-h, Ars, Hep, Hyos, Carc) - it bothers me so much.”

Patient: “But my space—I keep it clean and uncluttered (Ars). That’s why I admire how you keep your office so well-organized. It’s inspiring.”

This need for a clean and organized environment reflects their inner drive for harmony and balance, extending from their physical surroundings to their emotional and mental states.

Patient: “I’m fascinated by spaces that are clean, well-organized, and UNBURDENED (Ars) with lots of stuff. It brings me a sense of peace.”

Patient: “Even when I go to the pool, my towel is neatly folded, and I enter the water carefully. I like everything to have a certain elegance to it (Crot-h).”

Theme of Sexuality

Sexuality is a prominent theme, reflecting their confidence and natural magnetism. They approach this area of life with ease and self-assurance.

Patient: “I had this dream where women were interested in me (Crot-h), but I didn’t feel the need to engage. I was just observing (Crot-h).”

In some cases, their experiences with sexuality are tied to their life circumstances, such as a patient who worked in prostitution during a challenging period. This highlights their resilience and ability to adapt to difficult situations.

Theme of Respect

They respect and value only those people they perceive as having earned their positions genuinely.

Patient: “And then I respected them (Crot-h), but I realized - I shouldn’t respect them (Crot-h). They haven’t earned it in any way…”

They respect others if they deem them truly deserving and expect the same acknowledgment for their own worth.

Immediately after receiving his Simillimum, the patient said:

Patient: “I already feel more like myself! This is my most significant personal experience! Maybe even in my life—or rather, for SURE (Sil, Formica rufa), because of how much you’ve helped me!”

Dr: “Thank you! (Lotus) Then it was all worth it! All the years of studying, struggles, and sacrifices…”

Patient: “Yes, I’ve been through therapies, Tesla fields, and all that… It all helped me significantly. But this is on a much higher level—much higher!”

Dr: “This is spiritual…”

Patient: “Yes, yes! Thank you (Lotus) for the book too. Once I finish school, please let me come here and observe how you work…”

Dr: “Of course! I’d be delighted!”

They are deeply principled and expect reciprocal respect in their relationships. While they are willing to respect others if they feel it is deserved, they are quick to distance themselves from those they perceive as manipulative, undeserving, or intrusive.

Patient: “I’ve learned to evaluate people more critically. If someone hasn’t earned respect (Crot-h), I no longer feel the need to accommodate them emotionally or physically. I choose to focus on those who value me for who I am.”

Theme of Relationships with People

Since they strive for justice and detest sycophants and manipulators, they often get into verbal conflicts. In their youth, such conflicts may escalate to physical confrontations. Later in life, however, they tend to avoid involvement in other people’s matters.

Patient: “I noticed there was a period when my sister completely pushed me away (Crot-h). But I played it smart—I didn’t get involved (Crot-h). I acted as if I didn’t care (Crot-h). I let her solve her problems (Crot-h). And now I see we’re doing great! Everything is easy (Nat-m), we discuss and settle things well, and I trust (Crot-h) her more.”

Dr: “Your relationships with people have improved—with your mom, your sister… It’s noticeable!”

Patient: “Yes, definitely! I even think it would help her if you gave her her remedy.”

Dr: “She surely has her Simillimum, completely different from yours. But over time, she might receive your remedy as a karmic remedy, since you’re her brother.”

Family dynamics often improve after they receive their remedy, as the inner balance helps them navigate emotional complexities more effectively.

Patient: “After the remedy, I feel like my relationship with my sister has completely shifted. We’ve started talking more, spending time together, and I trust (Crot-h) her more.”

Dr: “What about your mom and dad?”

Patient: “With my mom, everything is great—except right before an exam, when I just need her to stop talking (Crot-h). With my dad, it’s been smooth. We understand each other better now.”

Their relationships with others often evolve after receiving their remedy, as the internal balance helps them manage external interactions more gracefully. However, when faced with persistent demands from others, they prioritize their emotional well-being and find ways to establish boundaries.

Patient: “Over time, I’ve realized that isolation (Crot-h) is essential for me to recharge. If people don’t understand that, I have no problem creating distance (Crot-h, Mag-m).”

Dr: “And when isolation isn’t respected, you’ve learned to assert yourself more?”

Patient: “Yes, but in a way that still lets me maintain good relationships (Crot-h), even if it’s exhausting (Gala).”

Theme of Humor

They appreciate sharp, edgy humor that pushes boundaries.

Patient: “I enjoy jokes that are risky (Crot-h) - the kind where you’re teetering on the edge of what’s acceptable. That’s the humor I love!”

Dr: “A little provocative (Crot-h), perhaps?”

Patient: “Exactly! Humor without fear—it’s fantastic.”

This boldness in their humor reflects their confidence and need to express themselves authentically.

Theme of Spiritual Growth

The transformation they experience after receiving their remedy often leads to profound personal and spiritual growth.

Patient: “After the remedy, I feel like I’ve reconnected with who I truly am. This is the most meaningful experience of my life.”

Dr: “It’s beautiful to hear that! That makes all the years of work and study worth it.”

Patient: “I’ve tried other therapies, but this is on a completely different level—it’s spiritual.”

This shift toward spiritual awareness often deepens their sense of purpose and connection to the world around them.

Theme of Individuality

They have a strong sense of individuality and prefer to navigate life on their own terms. They see independence as a challenge and inspiration, driving them to grow and develop themselves.

Patient: “People create unnecessary pressure (Crot-h) for me, trying to fit me into their mold (Crot-h), as if they see (Crot-h) that I am like them.”

Patient: “I want to better understand myself because I see it as an opportunity to grow (Crot-h). When I’m not surrounded by my parents or friends, I go out on my own (Crot-h) to make something of myself (Crot-h).

Patient: “I study geopolitics, sociology, and psychology (Crot-h). I’m very thorough (Crot-h). For years, I’ve been researching these topics across Europe. It is CLEAR (Lotus) to me what would work for me and what my options are. I think I have more information about these options than most people.”

Patient: “My mom worries and wants to help. But the best way to help me is to leave me alone (Crot-h)! There’s no tension between us - it’s just that… I lock myself in my room (Crot-h), and that’s it. Nothing personal!”

Patient: “She’s worried about me and wants to talk to help, but that just drains me (Crot-h). I need energy for myself (Crot-h)! Leave me alone, don’t talk to me (Crot-h)! Let me finish my exam, and then we can spend time together.”

Patient: “Everyone is nice to me—we hang out—but no one considers me part of their group (Arn). When I meet people in the reading room, we chat briefly, but it always ends with something like, ‘Hey, have you seen my group?’ They always stick to their groups (Crot-h).”

Dr: “It’s like you don’t belong.”

Patient: “Exactly. For years, I haven’t even felt like I need to belong to a group. I have good relationships with many people individually (Crot-h), and that’s enough for me.”

Patient: “I just can’t live in relationships that feel restrictive. I wouldn’t feel like myself (Crot-h).”

Theme of Self-Confidence

They exude confidence, especially in their youth, and aren’t afraid to assert themselves in challenging situations.

Patient: “The point is for both of us to give our statements. That’s happening at the end of March. He won’t be able to avoid it, and of course, I’ll be there. I’ll give my statement. I’m 800 million times (Crot-h) more eloquent (Crot-h) than him! I’ll explain EVERYTHING (Staph), where he is NOTHING (Staph) and nobody. I mean, I’ll ‘eat him for breakfast’ (Crot-h)!”

Patient: “And then I wrote it down—that day I passed two exams in one day! An enormous success (Crot-h), happiness, and relief (Nat-m). Confidence (Crot-h)!”

Patient: “In conversations, the moment I sense a conflict coming, I decide to strike first (Crot-h).”

Their confidence often leads them to take bold actions, trusting their instincts and abilities. They thrive on proving themselves in challenging situations, which feeds their self-assurance.

Patient: “I passed two major exams in a single day — enormous success (Crot-h)! I felt happiness and relief (Nat-m). Self-Confidence (Crot-h)

Their confidence is not just about their achievements but also how they approach conflicts or challenges.

Patient: “Whenever I sense conflict brewing, I make the first move (Crot-h). I don’t wait for someone else to act - I take control of the situation.”

This proactive approach reflects their ability to navigate life with determination and assertiveness, especially when they feel their values or individuality are at stake.

Theme - Aversion to illness

Their heightened sensitivity to illness, particularly mental instability, creates a deep discomfort when they encounter others displaying unusual behavior.

Patient: “That day in the library, I was completely unsettled by the people around me (Crot-h). The girl with neurological problems, the woman who seemed unstable, and the man talking to himself—it was too much. I couldn’t concentrate, so I had to leave.”

Their reactions are not just physical but deeply emotional, as they perceive such behaviors as disruptive to their inner peace.

Patient: “When I saw the man with the headphones, laughing and cursing to himself, I realized he wasn’t wearing them to listen to music. It was a mask to hide that he was schizophrenic. I felt like I didn’t belong in that space - it was chaotic and unsettling.”

This aversion often pushes them to seek solitude, where they can regain their sense of order and control.

Patient: "For example, there was this boy next to us on the beach; he had undergone many surgeries. I think he is congenitally impaired (Crot-h). Every time I saw (Crot-h) him, I got stressed out. I literally didn’t want to enter the same water he was swimming in, because I… I just couldn’t handle it!"

Doctor: "How did you feel about that?"

Patient: "Ugh! Very difficult (Nat m), scared (Crot-h), DISGUSTED (Manc, Hep), I don’t know. I just felt DISGUSTED (Manc, Hep), above all."

Doctor: "And this DISGUST (Manc, Hep), what other feeling does it create?"

Patient: "It repulses me (Crot-h); I literally feel DISGUSTED (Manc, Hep), NAUSEATED (Mill). Back then, that was the case, plus I sprayed that sunscreen cream, and all of that—maybe it contributed, like there were toxins in it."

Doctor: "There’s always a minimum of three triggers - like a tripod - three factors for something to happen."

Patient: "Well, at that moment, I completely lost the ability to speak (Manc, Crot-h). I couldn’t say anything (Crot-h, Mag-m, Arum). I just made some sounds (Crot-h). My mom got really scared, completely. She recognized it was neurological, but she didn’t know what it was at the time. Very quickly, my ability to speak returned. That was an extremely stressful situation. It happened (Crot-h) to me once and never again, nothing similar. But, yes. I think it was that combination, that fear (Crot-h) and DISGUST (Manc, Hep). Literally on the beach, where you’re supposed to relax..."

Doctor: "He was your trigger; he set it off."

Patient: "I had seen (Crot-h) him for years before that, but it never got to that point."

Doctor: "It culminated there!"

Patient: "Yes, it was TERRIBLE (Stram)."

Doctor: "It was hot on the beach, and nausea increases with heat."

Patient: "Maybe I was dehydrated too."

Doctor: "What was the defect he had?"

Patient: "Ugh, well… He had scars on his stomach. So, numerous surgeries on his stomach; those were really large scars! He had definitely undergone laparoscopic procedures, and besides that, incisions (Crot-h). Back then, I didn’t know what it was; I just saw (Crot-h) him as a Frankenstein! (Crot-h). He also had incisions (Crot-h), that is, scars, on his legs (Crot-h), and you could see (Crot-h) it. From his behavior, attitude, and everything else, he was a completely mentally impaired person. He wasn’t a BAD (Bry) person, that’s FOR SURE (Sil); he was just…"

After a long pause, he quietly says...

"...DISGUSTING (Manc)..."

Doctor: "That image simply triggered your reaction; there’s no explanation."

Patient: "Yes, yes!"

Doctor: "It could be some karmic connection."

Patient: "Well, maybe. I had absolutely no control (Crot-h, Carc) over my jaw (Crot-h), like a large zone in my brain was blocked, disrupted… (Crot-h) It happened in that specific PART (Arn) of the brain (Crot-h), FOR SURE (Sil)."

Doctor: "Very interesting!"

Patient: "Yes! They were asking me questions, but I couldn’t say (Crot-h, Arum) ANYTHING (Staph); I just made sounds (Crot-h), and that was it. For about half a minute, and then it passed."

This story gave us a direct path to his essence, through the situation that opened the Precode of Mancinella (BEAUTIFUL – DISGUSTING), which, in turn, opened to the Code of his remedy making him stuck in the feeling of IMPRISONMENT (Crot-h). He cannot escape the situation; he’s on the beach with his mom...

Theme of Dark Things

They often show a strong fascination with the macabre, eerie, and mysterious, even from a young age.

Patient: “I’ve always had a big affinity for CREEPY (Stram), dark things (Crot-h, Formica rufa, Manc). Ever since I was a kid, whenever I was asked to draw, I would only draw skeletons (Crot-h, Manc, Caust), demons (Crot-h, Manc, Caust). That’s the only thing that ever interested me.”

Patient: “Yes, my mom and I were just watching my favorite YouTube channel. It’s about aliens (Lotus). The videos go into deep analysis of everything, often diving into the spiritual realm. Most people see it as just theories.”

Dr: “They deny it out of fear.”

Patient: “Absolutely. My mom even shared the video with my dad and some friends, and most of them reacted like, ‘Why are you sending me this nonsense? This is CREEPY (Stram). I can’t watch this.’ As if we’re crazy for being into this stuff. But to me, it’s genius! (Crot-h)”

Patient: “That other dream I had was also dark and gloomy (Nat-m).”

Theme of Materialism

They feel a need to secure material stability for themselves and their families. They are often good at this, with the ability to materialize their ideas. Luxury items and indulgences appeal to them, and dreams often feature expensive cars, yachts, and other forms of opulence.

Patient: “At the end of my studies, my parents always supported me and left the door open for me to decide to invest extra effort into getting certified abroad. It’s even economically more viable (Crot-h), to specialize there than here. Literally (Crot-h) cheaper.”

Theme of Bleeding

Bleeding or themes related to circulation often surface, metaphorically or physically.

Crotalus horridus is a homeopathic remedy used for bleeding that is dark, liquid, and uncontrolled, often with a tendency not to coagulate. It is typically indicated in severe hemorrhagic conditions.

Patient: “That’s how my grandfather passed away. It was bleeding. (Crot-h)”

Patient: “When I grew older and started clashing (Crot-h) with them, the only way they began to notice me was when I started taking things and throwing them out of the house (Crot-h). I threw out so many things - some of them had been there for 40 years. I just took them and tossed them (Crot-h).

The patient describes this with gestures symbolizing “gathering” and “throwing out,” mirroring the physiological process of blood clotting and subsequent bleeding. The accumulation (clotting) reaches a peak, followed by dispersal (bleeding), reflecting the remedy’s deeper energy.

Theme of Finality or the End

The energy of Crotalus horridus carries the idea of completion and release, naturally resonating with endings and conclusions in life cycles.

Patient: “I never pushed myself to do things. I’d let everyone else elbow their way to the front (Crot-h). I’d just watch them (Crot-h), shocked at their behavior (Crot-h). No one ever said, ‘Hey, you should take your turn.’ I’d always end up as the last one (Crot-h), and that was fine with me. I wasn’t going to push through with them.”

Dr: “But now, after your remedy, things are different?”

Patient: “Yes! I went with my girlfriend to the university office to pick up some papers. This woman at the desk had always been rude to me. Just as it was my turn, she saw me and said students waiting for dormitory papers had priority. That meant I had to wait again—this time at the end of the line (Crot-h), even though no one was behind me.

Something snapped (Crot-h)! I looked (Crot-h) at my girlfriend, and she was like, ‘Oh no, what now?’ I just told her, ‘Stay here.’ I walked through all of them (Crot-h), barged into her office (Crot-h), and she saw (Crot-h) me. She said, ‘What do you want?’ I told her, ‘You’re going to print out these papers for me right now. That’s why I’m here.’ She started with the usual excuses about missing forms, saying, ‘You should’ve printed that at home.’

I replied, ‘You have a printer right here, so you’re going to print it, I’ll fill it out, and you’ll give me the papers immediately (Crot-h).’ She said, ‘I can’t do that.’ I told her, ‘I don’t care. You’ve already caused enough trouble (Crot-h, Manc), and now you’re going to fix it.’

Students around us were commenting, but I didn’t care (Crot-h). She printed the form, I filled it out, gave it back, and resolved everything in one minute (Crot-h).”

Dr: “What a change! Before, you would’ve just waited to be the last one (Crot-h).”

Patient: “Yes, but now I was hyper-aggressive (Crot-h) and rude (Crot-h). But clearly, it was the only option that appropriate (Crot-h) in this situation.”

Dr: “You responded in kind!”

Patient: “Exactly! I always wanted to act that way, but now I could actually do it!”

The theme of endings is persistent in their experiences.

Patient: “I wrote down that I felt relief (Nat-m) in the evening when it was all over (Crot-h).”

Patient: “Yes! It all went well, and I was very satisfied in the end (Crot-h). The questioning lasted so long.”

He came to therapy at the very end of his studies (Crot-h). He recounted how he did on his final (Crot-h) exam. Again, the theme of "final" and "at the end" emerges...

"That professor who was completely unintelligent (Crot-h), a crude (Crot-h) man, rude (Crot-h), absent (Crot-h) during the exam, who questioned my colleague and me for five hours, only to offer us the lowest passing grade in the end (Crot-h) ..."

Even in their dreams, the idea of endings or being the last is prominent.

Patient: “I dreamed we were in an old hotel. I kept searching for my girlfriend, but I couldn’t find her. Eventually, I was the last one left (Crot-h) in the entire place - there was no one else around.”
