Dr. Mirjana Zivanov offers an in-depth portrait of the remedy Magnesium muriaticum, revealing its dynamic oscillation between the extremes of anger and peace.
It is a very deep observation about the essence itself, including the themes of the remedy, aggravations, ameliorations, remedies that follow, and those that precede it.

This is my remedy portrait of the Magnesium muriaticum (Mag-m). The Magnesium muriaticum personality is drawn toward achieving profound inner and universal PEACE. However, upon reaching this state of calm, an opposing force from deep within arises, triggering a wave of ANGER that swiftly unravels the peace they fought to attain.
Note: The Matrix Method is based on the concept of individual Codes of a person, central to life and development of that person. The Matrix method helps us recognize this Code and prescribe the Simillimum, that has the same Code as that person. In the Matrix Method the Code is the very essence of the remedy.
The Codes of the remedies used in the Matrix method were discovered by Dr. Mirjana Zivanov, using the Matrix proving. Over a decade, her team rigorously tested these findings in their daily homeopathic regimen. Consequently, Dr. Zivanov has invested a significant portion of her career—ten years out of two decades—focusing on the research and refinement of the Matrix method.
Ancient Healing Practices
The Healing Waters of Ancient Springs
Throughout history, natural mineral springs have been revered for their healing properties. Many of these springs contained magnesium chloride and other beneficial minerals. One of the most famous examples is the Dead Sea, known for its high concentration of salts, including magnesium chloride. For thousands of years, people from various ancient civilizations, including the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, visited the Dead Sea to benefit from its therapeutic properties. The water’s unique composition was believed to help with skin conditions, joint pain, and other ailments. Legends told of the waters having mystical powers to rejuvenate the body and even prolong life.
In ancient Rome, the tradition of visiting mineral baths for health benefits was widespread. The Roman baths, known as thermae, were not only social centers but also places of healing, where people would soak in waters enriched with various minerals, including magnesium. The belief was that the minerals absorbed through the skin could restore health and vitality.
Throughout the ages, kings and queens have sought the restorative powers of the Dead Sea, renowned for its healing effects on skin conditions and its potent natural beauty treatments. Often considered the world’s oldest spa, the Dead Sea boasts a staggering 34% salinity—nearly nine times saltier than the ocean—imbued with a remarkably high concentration of magnesium muriaticum (magnesium chloride).
Magnesium, a vital mineral for the human body, has always found its primary source in sea salt, a staple in diets across the globe since ancient times. Its benefits extend beyond nutrition, as the therapeutic properties of Magnesium muriaticum also support the digestive system and reveal their magic in skin treatments, as the age-old practices at the Dead Sea have long demonstrated.
With the highest natural concentration of Magnesium muriaticum on Earth, the Dead Sea stands as the ultimate symbol of this healing mineral. Unlike other bodies of water, the Dead Sea has no outlet, causing intense evaporation that leaves behind a rich sediment of salts, mud, and minerals—creating an unparalleled reservoir of nourishment and healing.
Nestled within the Great African Syrian Rift between Israel and Jordan, the Dead Sea rests 423 meters below sea level. Travelers descend winding roads, where camels roam and palm trees line the path, into a deep valley surrounded by ancient mountains. At the heart of this captivating landscape lies the Dead Sea—a glistening gem of natural beauty and wonder.
These historical and cultural connections between magnesium, salt, and healing practices highlight the enduring belief in the power of natural elements, tracing back to traditions that have shaped our understanding of health and wellness for millennia.
Cleopatra herself is said to have used its mineral-rich waters to maintain her beauty.

Alchemy, Salt, and Spiritual Transformation
In the world of alchemy, salt was one of the three primary substances (alongside mercury and sulfur) believed to represent the three principles of matter. Salt was seen as a symbol of purity, preservation, and the life force itself. Alchemists sought to transform base materials into noble ones, such as turning lead into gold, and saw salt as a crucial element in this process because of its purifying nature.
Though magnesium muriaticum (magnesium chloride) was not specifically mentioned in alchemical texts, the association of various salts with purification aligns with the alchemists’ spiritual practices. They believed that substances could be “purified” through processes involving salt, which in turn could purify the soul. In this way, salt—and by extension, mineral salts like magnesium chloride—had an almost sacred status.
Central European Folklore: The Magic of Mineral Springs
In regions such as Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, there are legends surrounding mineral springs believed to have been blessed by saints or magical creatures. For example, in Slovakia, there are stories of the healing waters of Piešťany, where the miraculous recovery of a wounded knight is said to have occurred after he bathed in the mineral-rich springs. These waters, rich in magnesium and other minerals, were considered sacred and believed to be gifts from benevolent spirits or saints.
The springs were often associated with local deities or nature spirits who were believed to protect the land and its people. Rituals were sometimes performed at these sites to honor the spirits and ask for healing. Even today, many of these springs are popular health destinations, and their legendary status continues to attract visitors who seek natural remedies.
Salt in Rituals for Protection and Purification
The symbolic use of salt extends far beyond its therapeutic properties. In various cultures, salt has been used in rituals to ward off evil, cleanse spaces, and protect individuals from negative influences. For instance:
• Christian Traditions: In Christianity, blessed salt is used in certain sacraments, and holy water is often made with salt. This practice has roots in the ancient belief that salt has purifying powers.
• Shinto Rituals in Japan: Salt is sprinkled around temples and shrines to purify the area before ceremonies. It is also used in sumo wrestling rituals, where wrestlers throw salt into the ring to drive away evil spirits.
• European Folk Beliefs: In some European cultures, salt was sprinkled on thresholds or carried in pouches to protect against witches and other malevolent forces. It was believed that salt could create a barrier that evil could not cross.
These practices are based on the idea that salt has the power to cleanse and protect, an idea that could extend to magnesium chloride as part of the broader category of mineral salts with perceived healing and purifying properties.

Cleansing with salts in Ayurveda
In Indian tradition and Ayurveda, there are cleansing processes that involve salts, used to detoxify the body and improve health. Ayurvedic practices include various purification methods (Panchakarma), where salts, especially mineral salts, play an important role in these treatments. Here are some primary methods of cleansing with salts in Ayurveda:
Usha Pan (Salt Water in the Morning)
Usha Pan is the practice of drinking warm salt water in the morning, immediately upon waking. A small amount of natural sea salt or Himalayan salt is added to the water. This method is used to stimulate the digestive system, improve bowel movement, and cleanse the colon. Salt water helps flush toxins from the body and balance electrolytes.
Jala Neti (Nasal Cleansing with Salt Water)
Jala Neti is the practice of cleansing the nose using salt water. This process involves using a Neti pot (a special container) to rinse the nasal passages with warm salt water. It is considered highly beneficial for eliminating accumulated mucus, purifying the sinuses, improving breathing, and balancing the energy channels (nadi). This practice also helps reduce symptoms of allergies and colds.
Salt Body Scrub (Ubtan)
The Ayurvedic tradition uses natural ingredients for body scrubs, including salts such as sea salt or Himalayan salt, combined with herbal powders and oils. Salt scrubs help remove dead skin cells, improve circulation, and promote detoxification through the skin. Salt scrubs are often used during cleansing treatments as part of Panchakarma.
Basti (Ayurvedic Enemas with Salt)
Basti is a procedure for cleansing the colon using various preparations, including salt water. This process is used as part of Panchakarma to eliminate ama (toxins) from the intestines, improve digestion, and balance the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). In some types of Basti treatments, salt water is used to facilitate the elimination of accumulated impurities from the body.
Svedana (Sweating with Salty Steam)
Svedana is a practice that involves using a steam bath for detoxification. Salts are often added to the water for steaming to increase the effectiveness of the process. This practice helps open the pores and eliminate toxins through sweating, while the salts further enhance the cleansing and balancing effects on the skin.
Salt Lamps and Inhalation
Himalayan salt lamps are used in Ayurveda not only as an aesthetic element but also as a means to improve air quality. It is believed that the emission of negative ions from the salt lamp can purify the air and reduce symptoms of respiratory problems. Additionally, inhalation of steam with salt is used for cleansing the respiratory passages.
Abhyanga with Salt (Body Massage with Salt and Oils)
In some cases, Abhyanga massage (traditional Ayurvedic oil massage) may include the use of salt along with herbal oils for additional cleansing and detoxification of the skin. The massage is used to stimulate the lymphatic system and improve the elimination of toxins from the body.
These Ayurvedic practices use salt as a key ingredient due to its cleansing, antibacterial, and balancing properties, emphasizing a natural approach to cleansing and healing the body.
Modern Wellness Practices Involving Magnesium Chloride
Today, magnesium chloride is used in wellness practices such as “float therapy” or sensory deprivation tanks, where high concentrations of magnesium salts are dissolved in water to create a zero-gravity experience. The practice is said to promote relaxation, alleviate stress, and help with muscle recovery. The idea of floating in mineral-rich water as a form of therapy connects back to ancient practices of seeking healing in natural mineral springs.
While magnesium muriaticum may not have its own specific legends, its role as a healing mineral aligns with long-standing traditions of using mineral-rich waters for physical and spiritual health. These stories and practices highlight the enduring human fascination with the power of natural elements.

Let’s delve deeper into the essence of Magnesium muriaticum and explore its very soul…
The basic idea of the remedy Magnesium muriaticum lies in the Code of the remedy, and its essence is the movement from the feeling of ANGER, which usually arises as a result of some injustice, to the feeling of PEACE, which is constantly sought.

The Code of the Remedy is ANGER – PEACE.
The Code demonstrates the duality of human emotions or experiences. It implies a conceptual framework where ANGER and PEACE are intertwined, representing two sides of the same coin.
If Morphinum and Lotus are the embodiment of play, naivety, and young children, Magnesium muriaticum is an example of work, experience, someone who is mature, responsible, and reliable, a just and exemplary parent, along with Galanthus nivalis.
Patient: "This person doesn’t respect (Lyc) that person. It’s an injustice (Mag-m, Arg-n). I get ANGRY (Mag-m) because this one didn’t respect (Lyc) that one, and the one who watches from the side is just INDIFFERENT (Kali-p). It raises my blood pressure."
Doctor: "How do you react when you are ANGRY (Mag-m)? Imagine, think of situations when you were angry, we all get angry sometimes..."
Patient: "Well, I get ANGRY (Mag-m) every day. In that situation my blood pressure maybe rises, I don't know. I lose patience (Mag-m), I don’t like when someone is late for work (Mag-m), I like punctuality (Mag-m). If I were ever late delivering something, it would only be by a very small margin…"
Another example when a person in the state of the remedy Magnesium muriaticum gets stuck in the opposite ANGER:
Patient: " Some workers were scheduled to come and install new windows. They promised but didn’t show up. The next day, I heard they were downstairs (Mag-m), at my neighbor's place, but didn’t come to us! That really upset me..."
Doctor: "Did that make you ANGRY? (Mag-m)" Matrix fishing
Matrix fishing is a technique in which the homeopath invokes one of the opposites from the Code of the remedy, which he or she suspects could be the patient’s Simillimum – Soul remedy, or Karmic – situational remedy. Then, the homeopath observes the patient’s reaction to see if the patient has ‘taken the bait.’
Patient: "Yes, because those neighbors are our friends, and they didn’t tell me (Mag-m)!"
Doctor: "That was the trigger!"
Patient: "Yes, that’s ANGER (Mag-m). The windows in that room need to be replaced because we’ll be celebrating Slava, and then my son’s baby will be born soon. The baby is supposed to be in that room. The biggest trigger was our friendship! (Mag-m) How could they not tell me (Mag-m): ‘Hey, they’re not coming, they canceled because they came to our place first!’ Or something like that. Instead, I’m the one calling to find out when the window installers are coming, and the guy doesn’t even answer."
Doctor: "How did you feel then?"
Patient: "Terrible, because she’s my best friend. (Mag-m) She comes over, we drink coffee, we’re together all the time. She could have told me (Mag-m): ‘Those people were at our place, they’re not coming, they canceled!’"
Doctor: "How did you feel at that moment?"
Patient: "Betrayed (Mag-m), ANGRY (Mag-m), and that tension (Mag-m), she could see it in me, but I couldn’t tell her (Mag-m): ‘What kind of friendship is it if you’re hiding something from me?’ Even if it would hurt me the most, you should still tell me! (Mag-m)’ That nervousness caused me dizziness (Mag-m). On Friday, I didn’t fully faint (Mag-m), but I felt myself sinking (Mag-m), sinking (Mag-m) two or three times, and then I came back, like I was sinking somewhere (Mag-m). That’s the tension (Mag-m) inside me! It hurt me (Mag-m), because we’ve been friends for thirty years! (Mag-m)"
Another Magnesium muriaticum patient fainted after being told that her best friend had committed suicide...
Patient: "I couldn’t believe she did it because of that guy! She had everything in life! Parents, a house... I felt a strong ANGER (Mag-m) over what she had done, and I collapsed to the ground... (Mag-m)"
In the following example, we see how the patient, after receiving the remedy Magnesium muriaticum, opened up, and the feeling of ANGER (Mag-m) surfaced:
“After taking the medicine, sadness appeared first, and I cried. Then aggression (Mag-m) followed, a strong ANGER (Mag-m) – I felt like hitting something, like punching it out! (Mag-m)”
Magnesium muriaticum persons are rational, grounded individuals, as they themselves say: "Down to Earth!" (Mag-m) They are extremely hardworking (Mag-m), and nothing is too difficult for them. From a young age, they are very conscientious and learn a lot of practical skills. While other children are playing, they are dedicated to helping their parents.
One said: "When we went to visit grandpa in the village, all the kids were playing, and I was chopping wood (Mag-m) for grandpa. When I finished, I even asked if the neighbor might need me to chop wood for them too."
They are exceptionally honest, and if someone deceives them, they fall into one of the opposites of their Code - ANGER, and can become very vengeful, even capable of killing (Mag-m). They are completely dedicated to their work and disciplined. They wake up early, work all day, and truly love life. For them, work is the meaning of life. They fall in love with their profession and are completely devoted to it. (Mag-m)
"When I travel to Montenegro for business, there’s no detouring. I go from point A to point B. I only stop at a roadside restaurant, but if the restaurant is just 300 meters off the road, I won’t go. That's already a detour and a waste of time."
They are very practical and skillful (Mag-m). They can make anything with their hands. Repairs of various devices, machines, massage, osteopathy, and physical therapy are just a few of the fields in which they excel.
They are very business-oriented, for them, agreements and their word are law! (Mag-m) They will always be on time and respect the other party. They say everything they think without holding back, which can sometimes offend others, but to them, it’s completely fine because it’s the truth. They feel entitled to say it.
Patient: "At a birthday party, I told my friend that she had gained a lot of weight!"
Doctor: "You didn’t seriously say that to her, directly?"
Patient: "I did, why not? It’s the truth!"
In general, they tend to talk a lot, especially women (Mag-m).
There is a strong theme of foreign languages. (Mag-m)
Male Magnesium muriaticum individuals, despite being talkative, find learning foreign languages difficult, unlike females, who pick them up much more easily. Women are often translators or teachers of a foreign language.
Male patient: "I’m bad with languages... That’s what I hold against my parents the most, that they didn’t enroll me to learn English when I was young! That’s on the parents!"
Female patient: "I loved languages. I finished French. At home, I speak exclusively French with my children, while my husband speaks to them in Serbian."
They don’t like walking (Mag-m), unlike a Magnesium Phosphoricum person, who needs and love to walk a lot...
Patient: "My biggest problem, and I’m sure of it, is that I smoke! (Mag-m) And that I don’t walk! (Mag-m)"
Doctor: "Why don’t you walk?"
Patient: "I used to go hunting, but I don’t even do that anymore! Laziness (Mag-m), it’s laziness! (Mag-m) I walk a lot every day at work, but that’s the walking you do daily."
Doctor: "You don’t take relaxing walks in nature?"
Patient: "No! Or, for example, walking from here to my office on foot, which is about 6 km. I’ve been working there for seven years and never done it. So, it’s laziness! You can do anything when you want!"
They like standing and can stand in one place for a long time!
Patient: "I love standing! (Mag-m) It doesn’t bother me. Often, when I’m standing somewhere for a long time, people say (Mag-m) to me: ‘Sit down!’ And I joke: ‘I’m taller when I stand! Though there’s not much of a difference!’ Ha, ha, ha!"
He jokes about himself because he is short compared to other people…
"Standing" is one of the themes of his remedy…
"The gypsies were trying to steal a machine from my yard, so I blocked their way. I stopped (Mag-m), making them retreat…"
Theme of Hard Work
From a young age, he learns to work because he loves it and is interested in it. Over time, he becomes an expert in his field and highly sought after because he always respects contracts, agreements, and deadlines (Mag-m). His results are perfect, refined through years of work done with love and full attention.
He loves working so much that he says: "If only they would move the clock forward, the day would be longer so I could work more. It wouldn't bother me if it dawned at 9 a.m., I wake up at 6 a.m. anyway and get started… But I just want it to last longer… Sometimes I work until midnight!"
The first thing the patient asked when he arrived was:
"Do you work on Sundays too?"
He works, so it's normal for him…
When asked how he feels, he says:
"More or less, everything is fine, I wouldn't point out anything as bad… The only thing is that I work a lot, but I love to work!"
Doctor: "What fulfills you?"
Patient: "I like working on a device, when I make a device, or finish setting up a café… That fulfills me! Or when I buy a new, modern machine… That's what fulfills me!"
When he injured himself at work and got three stitches on his stomach, right after going to the emergency room, he returned to work and continued working…
"One time, when I was cutting something, I hadn’t fastened myself, and the grinder caught my shirt. I saw the grinder coming toward me! And as I was pulling it (Mag-m), I immediately broke it (Mag-m), to destroy it (Mag-m), but it caught me (Mag-m), and I ended up with three stitches. But as soon as I came back from the shop, I started driving that same grinder… I continued to WORK (Tarent)! The other workers said (Mag-m): 'Come on, what’s wrong with you? We’re done for the day!' And I said (Mag-m): 'Just so you know, we can continue!' And they laughed… 'It wasn’t the grinder’s FAULT (Bell-p)! I was careless! (Apis)'"
"When they used to take me to the village, grandpa would give me an axe, and I would chop wood (Mag-m), and grandma would always say (Mag-m) to me: 'Leave it, son, go play!' But I kept chopping wood (Mag-m), and I wanted to chop wood for the neighbors too… (Mag-m)"
Another patient said:
„I enjoy working (Mag-m) and fixing things with tools (Mag-m). Sports don’t interest me at all – I have no desire to play, watch, or train. I prefer physical work like shoveling, building, or tearing things down. (Mag-m) When I go to the gym, my back hurts even more, but I could flip a car without any pain (Mag-m) because my back issues aren’t from physical damage but from psychological stress. The atmosphere in the gym, with all the weights and people, irritates me and makes me feel worse. (Mag-m)”
Theme of Modesty
Patient: "A car? Oh, no! That’s just for my work, specifically for my work... Whether I drive a Fiat or a BMW, it’s completely irrelevant! I go from point A to point B, I’m not demanding!"
Patient: "I eat because I have to eat."
Doctor: "You don’t have an appetite?"
Patient: "I do! I get hungry, but it’s not like I’m picky: ‘Oh, now it has to be this way or that way…’ Or, ‘I’m craving this or that…’ Or, ‘I want to eat that tomorrow...’ I’m not like that!"
Doctor: "You eat whatever is given to you? (Mag-m)" Matrix potentization
Patient: "Yes, I eat what’s given to me (Mag-m). When I go to a restaurant, I immediately say: ‘Give me this, and take it away...’ I order really fast, whatever I see first, without overthinking. I do like to try something new, but to be amazed by it, no! I’m down to Earth! (Mag-m)" (Gestures downward with his hand (Mag-m) ...)
Theme of Honesty
He has his principles and values that he never compromises. He minds his own business and doesn’t hold grudges. As far as his work is concerned, everything is done properly, with no shady dealings.
"But everything has to be financially clean, unlike some people who say (Mag-m): ‘I got this much, and I got that much…’ Not a single cent has ever (he gestures near his shoulder, as if brushing something off) gone astray!"
Theme of Protection
He is a great parent (Mag-m), an example of a good parent. Hardworking, he creates a lot, provides everything for his children, and gives them whatever they need. Responsible, rational, grounded, stable, compassionate, and most importantly, very just. He stands up for the truth and protects his friends when they are unfairly accused.
"I was giving a young guy a ride on my motorcycle because he didn’t have his license yet, he’s still young. When the police stopped us, they started calling him out about something to do with his father, which wasn’t his FAULT (Bell-p). So, I told them nicely (Mag-m) to leave him alone (Mag-m): ‘What does he have to do with that, he is who he is, and his father is his father!’"
Theme of Language
Doctor: "You didn’t like learning? What was the problem with English?"
Patient: "I didn’t understand it, it just wouldn’t stick…"
Doctor: "It didn’t go well for you?"
Patient: " Learning foreign languages didn’t go well for me! My best childhood friend’s grandmother was Hungarian, and I wish she had spoken to us in Hungarian. If only my parents had encouraged me saying (Mag-m): ‘Speak in Hungarian…’ Even a little… After all, it’s a neighboring country, and it would have been good to learn some of the language. But that’s just how it was."
Theme of Falling
Falling from heights—trees, stairs, roofs—or falling to the ground due to a blow or shocking news... These falls happen suddenly, as if struck down, or from slipping.
Serious injuries may occur, such as torn shoulder muscles, sprained ankles, or hip injuries. Bone fractures are possible, but in Magnesium muriaticum individuals, joint injuries are more common, while in Lotus, long bone fractures typically occur.
"I fell through a hole in the attic (Mag-m) of a Catholic church, where we were WORKING (Tarent) on an installation. I was carrying (Mag-m) a big engine, and they hadn’t properly closed up a hole (Mag-m, Morph), just plastered it over. Since it was dark, I fell through (Mag-m), and as I was falling (Mag-m) ..."
Doctor: "And it always turns out fine in the end, you know how to fall!"
Patient: "Whether I know or it’s just luck, I don’t know."
Doctor: "You didn’t break anything?"
Patient: "I didn’t, but when I fell (Mag-m) in Cherevic from a cherry tree (Mag-m), I was left breathless (Mag-m) (He demonstrates how he gasped, drawing in air twice), but EVERYTHING (Staph) quickly (Mag-m) passed, and I went right back up the tree (Mag-m)!"
However, falling to the ground can also happen after receiving shocking news…
One female patient fell to the ground, as if struck down, after being told her childhood friend had committed suicide. From the shock, she lost consciousness and collapsed. (Mag-m) After that, her menstrual cycle stopped, and only after we gave her Mag-m C200 did her period return and become regular again after ten years!
Another patient:
“I fell (Mag-m) off a motorcycle when a speeding car hit me.
When I was 10, a horse kicked me in the chin, sending me flying across a field. I landed (Mag-m) in some manure! It was DISGUSTING (Manc). They had to take me home in a manure cart! But somehow, things always end well without major consequences.”
However, in addition to the physical fall, the theme of mental decline is also present.
Patient: “I have psychological issues that have transferred to my physical body, causing back pain (Mag-m). Anxiety from morning until night has shattered me. What a depth that was – God forbid! And then, deep, deep down (Mag-m) for three days (shows with hand how it goes downward (Mag-m)), and then up (Lotus), phew! Those two or three days, you keep going down, and naturally, when you go that far down, it has to let you go at some point. And when it finally let me go (Mag-m), in terms of levels – if we say there’s zero, plus ten, and minus ten – I usually fluctuate between minus two and minus seven. But this time, I hit minus seven or eight, got stuck there, and when it finally let me go, (Mag-m) I surfaced like coming out of water to zero, and I felt great there! And then it starts pulling me (Mag-m) down (Mag-m) and up (Lotus) again (Mag-m, Lotus); first comes the feeling, and then the thought follows! Thoughts amplify that feeling, and then it becomes an avalanche (Mag-m, Stram).”
In these examples, we can also see that a Magnesium muriaticum person, when in good health, will almost immediately get back up. Therefore, it is an excellent situational remedy to prescribe immediately after a fall, often helping the patient get right back on their feet.
“Physically, it’s too heavy (Mag-m), but mentally it takes me on a rollercoaster, up and down (Mag-m, Lotus). Is it real? Is it not?”
“In terms of levels – if we say there’s zero, plus ten, and minus ten – I usually fluctuate between minus two and minus seven. But this time, I hit minus seven or eight, got stuck there, and when it finally let me go (Mag-m) I surfaced like coming out of water to zero (Mag-m, Lotus), and I felt great there! And then it starts pulling me (Mag-m) down (Mag-m) and up (Lotus) again (Mag-m, Lotus) …”
As an example of Magnesium muriaticum as a situational remedy, there was an event a few months ago when a white kitten fell from a tree and landed on its front feet, injuring both and making it unable to stand. The kitten’s Soul remedy - Simillimum is Lotus, but for this particular situation—a fall—it was given Magnesium muriaticum, and it quickly got back on its feet, even though they were still painful. The kitten’s recovery was fast and complete.
Theme of Skill
Their hands are always active. They are incredibly skilled, fast, and love to make things, fix things, cook, clean, and wash. Nothing is too difficult for them.
Doctor: "You’re physically strong! Do you train?"
Patient: "I don’t work out, but I can hold my own with anyone (Mag-m), because I WORK (Tarent). This - (gesturing to bodybuilding), isn’t the essence… The essence is how much physical work you can handle, back and forth… I was unloading (Mag-m) a bar counter, and these YOUNG (Lach) tall guys are standing there, all built up- (he gestures to show large biceps) I told them (Mag-m): ‘Be careful (Apis), hold on tight, it’s heavy (Mag-m)…’ And they’re like: ‘Ha, ha, ha...’ As we picked it up, they start swaying! I say (Mag-m): ‘Lower it faster (Mag-m), what are you doing!?’ And they say (Mag-m): ‘When we saw you carrying it, how can we now say (Mag-m) that we can’t!?’"
Doctor: "You’re strong!"
Patient: "I’m not strong, I’ve been carrying things all my life (Mag-m), it’s technique (Mag-m)!"
Theme of Socializing
They are social by nature, usually surrounded by people they work with, as they spend the entire day at work. People like and respect them because they are fair and consistent. They often take on a leadership role (Mag-m), being a person of authority. They handle this calmly and quietly, but when necessary, they know how to speak louder or even respond physically. (Mag-m)
Theme of Truth and Lies, Self-Criticism
They are extremely honest, often criticizing others but also being self-critical.
"It's NOT the grinder's FAULT (Bell-p)! I was careless (Apis)!"
Patient: "I used to go hunting, now I don’t even do that, it’s negligence (Mag-m), just negligence (Mag-m)! I walk a lot every day at work, but that’s just the routine stuff you do every day."
Patient: "Or, for example, to walk from here to my office, that’s about 6 km. I’ve been working there for seven years, and I’ve never done it. That’s negligence (Mag-m)! You can do anything if you want!"
Patient: "I was careless (Apis), my mistake!"
Patient: "But just no lies! (Mag-m) I mean, sometimes you have to lie a little! (Mag-m)"
Doctor: "Well, little white lies, that’s normal…"
Patient: "There used to be black lies too, sometimes you have to! (Mag-m)"
A Lotus person never lies, while Magnesium muriaticum person is grounded and, sometimes, they must lie and can lie…
Theme of Physical Injuries
"...Once, when I was cutting something, I didn’t fasten myself, and the grinder caught my shirt. I saw the grinder coming toward me, and as I was pulling it, I immediately broke it so it would stop, but it caught me, and I ended up with three stitches on my stomach."
"One time it happened to me (Mag-m), while at the sea in Montenegro, when I was putting a suitcase in, I made a sudden movement (Mag-m). I bought a Cafetin (painkiller), and after 15 minutes, my back pain (Mag-m) was gone, but until then, I had been driving hunched and stiff… (Mag-m)"
I told the owner (Mag-m): "I’ll charge you a lot for this glass!"
Now I have to dismantle everything. It’s a simple task but it doesn’t matter, because it takes a lot of time just to get it fixed, to complete the process (Mag-m) (Like when tissue heals after an injury—it needs time to repair and complete the healing)
Theme of Self-Control
Doctor: "If you had to eat right now, would it make you feel sick? Would you throw up?"
Patient: "No, I wouldn’t!"
Doctor: "Then why did you stop (Mag-m), why didn’t you eat the cake on my birthday party?! You know how to stop! (Mag-m)"
Patient: "Well, I could have, but it’s the eyes that are hungry, not the body!" (He is aware of his body’s needs!)
Theme of Faith
"I’m a believer! I used to go (Mag-m) to church… If they call me to Hilandar, I’ll go (Mag-m) right now, no problem… Some believers tell me (Mag-m): ‘How come you haven’t been yet?’ I tell them (Mag-m): ‘Maybe I’m a bigger believer! So please, silence!’ (He gestures how he put his finger over his lips) ‘We’re done with that conversation!’ Maybe I believe more with my heart, while someone else can go to church and sleep in the church..."
Theme of Speed
"When we go to Montenegro, we always keep a certain pace! And when we are on our way back home, people are pulling me by the arm: ‘Come have lunch!’ But I don’t want to, I fly forward (Mag-m, Lyc) ..."
"I love speed (Mag-m), yes… I’ve realized that the best thing to do when flying is to take a nap because it makes the journey feel even faster!"
Theme of Smoking
"You know what my biggest sin is? That I smoke, that’s the worst thing! I can say (Mag-m), I had quit smoking, then started again (Mag-m, Lotus), then quit again (Mag-m, Lotus), and then started again (Mag-m, Lotus), and quit again (Mag-m, Lotus)!"
Like Lotus, he has the theme of smoking and going in circles...
Complementary Remedy: Argentum Nitricum with the Code PEACE – RESTLESSNESS
Our patient’s wife is Argentum nitricum. Their core and shared aspirations are their love for justice, truth, and protecting the weak and oppressed. They both love animals. Magnesium muriaticum brings stability and grounding, which is essential for the ethereal and unstable nature of Argentum nitricum. In their relationship, he is the Earth, and she is the Sky.

Precodes
First Precode: Apis mellifica with the Code: PERFECT – AWFUL
When the Precode is unlocked, AWFUL falls happen, especially when someone yells, "Watch out!" (Apis)
They didn’t watch out (Apis) when coming down the stairs (Mag-m), and suddenly they slip (Mag-m) and fall (Mag-m), tumbling down (Mag-m)!
Or, "He wasn’t careful (Apis) and fell from the tree (Mag-m)!"
Carelessness (Apis) is the cause, which stems from a disturbance in the vestibular system. A suppressed skin rash, treated with allopathic medication, is one of the causes of this disturbance.
If a bee falls to the ground (Mag-m) (a fall from a height), and doesn’t fly back up quickly, it enters the state of Magnesium muriaticum. If the ground is cold or it falls on water, the bee becomes exhausted from attempts to fly off, leading to a state of deep prostration, akin to paralysis and eventually dies.
Second Precode: Mancinella with the Code: BEAUTIFUL – DISGUSTING
"I once told my sister that her makeup looked bad… It was really DISGUSTING!"
Magnesium muriaticum is like the dead sea, associated with death. In the Dead Sea, there is no life. If one falls and doesn’t get back up, death follows (Manc).
Doctor: "We discovered a homeopathic remedy for COVID and even received an award for it. Because of this, our unvaccinated patient didn’t need to get the vaccine! Did you have any symptoms?”
Patient: "Well, that’s a BEAUTIFUL discovery! I had COVID, but it was nothing special, like a mild flu."
Patient: “I fell (Mag-m) off a motorcycle when a speeding car hit me.
When I was 10, a horse kicked me in the chin, sending me flying across a field. I landed (Mag-m) in some manure! It was DISGUSTING. They had to take me home in a manure cart!”

Similar Remedies:
Staphysagria with the Code NOTHING – EVERYTHING
Both remedies are hardworking, working from dawn to dusk for the benefit of their families, they are honest and love to fight for justice. However, Staphysagria is less talkative. In general, Staphysagria comes off as colder, while Magnesium muriaticum is warm. Staphysagria endures, stays silent, and after a long time, explodes and speaks, while Magnesium muriaticum easily speaks out and says daily what it finds unjust. Both remedies are very good parents.
Doctor: "So, how do you feel then?"
Patient: "I stay silent (Staph, Mag-m), because he’s driving now, he can drive wherever he wants…"
"That was the unpleasantness (coughs, entering a “Staph” state) because they are relaxed, and I’m nervous, uncomfortable - it just doesn’t suit me... Nobody told me NOTHING, they all kiss me, love me... But it doesn’t resolve anything for me…"
"I told (Mag-m) the doctor: ‘Which vaccine?’ He says (Mag-m): ‘The Chinese one!’ I said (Mag-m): ‘You’ve told me EVERYTHING, you don’t have to explain ANYTHING to me.”
Aurum metallicum with the Code: HAPPINESS – SORROW
Aurum metallicum is classically associated with the noble metal gold, symbolizing high value, authority, and strength. It tends toward speculative thinking, meaning it can deeply engage with matters of philosophy, religion, and spirituality. Emotionally, with Aurum, anger often arises as a reaction to inner conflict, while SORROW is the fundamental emotion that accompanies a sense of hopelessness or unmet goals.
Magnesium muriaticum, on the other hand, as “black gold,” has a different dynamic. It is more oriented toward the practical and operational, with a focus on work, movement, and practical solutions. It has strong emotional polarities, where ANGER (Mag-m) manifests as a key aspect of the personality, but this anger is related to blockages or obstructions in expression, while sorrow arises as a result of unresolved internal tensions.
Both remedies show a tendency toward spirituality and faith, but in Aurum, this is more pronounced as a quest for deeper meaning and purpose. In Magnesium muriaticum, religiosity may be more operational, through practice and rituals.
Thus, the difference between them lies in their fundamental nature: Aurum metallicum is more inclined toward the abstract and speculative, while Magnesium muriaticum is more focused on action and practical problem-solving.
Tarentula hispanica with the Code: WORK – NOT WORK
Both remedies share the theme of work, patience, waiting for the right moment, and the theme of smoking is also common.
Patient: "The biggest problem for me, and it’s certainly true, is that I smoke!"
Lycopodium clavatum with the Code: PRIDE – SHAME
Doctor: "When you decide something, it has to be done that way!"
Patient: "Maybe I didn’t do something correctly (Lyc), but I believe I’m doing it right (Lyc)!"
Patient: "Disrespect (Lyc) is hard for me! (Mag-m) Yesterday, I was at a locksmith’s place, and I asked (Mag-m) for something to be brought in… Then he yells at me: ‘Are you coming or not? Should we bring it in for you?’ And I said: ‘Hold on, let’s get one thing straight (Mag-m), I came here as a friend of this company, and whether I carry it or not is my business. You can speak nicely (Carc), but let’s not talk in that tone (Mag-m)!’ I warned him (Lyc, Apis)!"
"I was always respected (Lyc)! As a master, they had to do it because I said (Mag-m) I wouldn’t pay until they called me. I was always respected (Lyc)!"
Patient: "It’s wonderful, like in our golden days! But now, the state of schools is a disaster... There’s no respect (Lyc) anymore!"
Arsenicum album with the Code: BURDENED – UNBURDENED
Both remedies work all day and are workaholics, but Arsenicum album enters a state of restlessness (Ars), where they feel compelled to move, while Magnesium muriaticum works quietly, calmly, and steadily without any noticeable flamboyance.
Patient: "Yes! Thieves (Ars) broke into my yard. I even took a picture of the thief (Ars)!"
Galanthus nivalis with the Code: LOST – FOUND
Both remedies are compassionate, just, hardworking, and loved by children. They work for the sake of children… Both remedies are also perfect parents, as they are responsible, rational, reliable, and find nothing too difficult. Galanthus nivalis acts out of heart and love, while Magnesium muriaticum simply feels the need to constantly work, having worked from a young age… Both remedies love warm milk.
Patient: "No way! I love warm milk or at least milk at room temperature... (Mag-m, Gala)"
Patient: "Ugh, cold milk! (Mag-m, Gala)"
You can read more about the remedy Galanthus nivalis in my article published in the October issue of Homeopathy4Everyone here:
Lachesis muta with the Code: YOUTH – OLD AGE
Both remedies are talkative (Lach, Mag-m) and prone to skin flushing. However, Magnesium muriaticum doesn’t enjoy the sea and sunbathing as much as Lachesis muta does. Magnesium muriaticum prefers to sit by the river, on the river, or perhaps in the forest. Lachesis muta talks constantly and has a sweeter, winding way of speaking, while Magnesium muriaticum, in a state of ANGER (Mag-m), bluntly says everything they have on their mind, sounding more aggressive and irritable.

The Dead Sea
In the state of Magnesium muriaticum, the Soul descends after its fall from the higher realms above. This descent from the Lotus state ushers in a condition where there is no turning back upward, binding the soul to the Earth for an extended time. The Dead Sea, as the Earth’s deepest depression, reflects the notion that no further fall is possible while the Soul remains on Earth. It signifies the moment when a new incarnation begins, a rebirth, after which the Soul NAVIGATES, FINDS ITS WAY (Gala) forward, entering the state of Galanthus nivalis. Similarly, the Dead Sea represents a place of complete stillness, as there is no life in it, which reflects one of the opposites from the Code of the remedy Magnesium muriaticum – PEACE.

2. Lumberjack or woodcutter
The tree represents the soul’s yearning to ascend toward the Divine, while Magnesium muriaticum plays the role of grounding, like one who cuts the tree and brings the Soul back to Earth. In this act, the Soul returns to begin a new cycle of rebirth.
“The feeling is like cutting off your own leg with an axe (Mag-m), and they tell you, ‘It’s fine, be quiet, a new one will grow back.’”

Stop sign –
Magnesium muriaticum represents a state of stillness and pause, a moment to step back and carefully tend to important matters with mindful attention. It offers a sense of stability and inner peace, allowing for thoughtful reflection and the making of wise decisions about the path ahead.

A stuck-out tongue, symbolizing someone stepping on you, overwhelmed and under pressure, with the tongue out as if under a heavy burden.
This image conveys a sense of being weighed down, oppressed, or strained by external forces, leading to exhaustion or helplessness, much like the experience of Magnesium muriaticum when overworked or overwhelmed.

Magnesium muriaticum grants stability, determination, and a sense of righteousness, fostering inner PEACE within the soul. However, life’s challenges can disrupt this calm, awakening feelings of intense ANGER. As the ANGER reaches its climax, it gives way once more to a state of PEACE. By integrating these opposing forces, the soul achieves a HIGHER SPIRITUAL STATE—a continuous SURVEILANCE that transcends both the turmoil of anger and the stagnation of absolute calm. This enduring state of SURVEILANCE reflects the awakened spiritual essence of a Magnesium muriaticum individual.
In this context, SURVEILLANCE represents a state of peaceful alertness, where everything is calm and stable most of the time. It reflects a continuous state of awareness or readiness, where the individual is watchful and vigilant. However, when a disturbance occurs, such as a challenge or threat, the peaceful state is disrupted, and an intense anger or forceful intervention emerges to address the situation.
This dual nature of SURVEILLANCE illustrates the dynamic balance between calmness and the readiness to respond with intensity when needed. The peaceful state is maintained as long as everything remains stable, but the potential for a powerful reaction is always present when something significant happens.
